The Dell EMC PowerEdge R740 server is part of Dell’s 14th generation server line and delivers enhanced application performance, high storage capacity, and plenty of expansion potential. Designed with built-in security features, administrators can rest easy knowing their mission-critical applications are protected from malicious threats. Database performance is ten times better with support for NVDIMMs, and Intel’s new chipset provides 27% more cores than its predecessor. Three double-width or six single-wide GPUs can be added to this system to enhance VDI deployments and supports up to 50% more users than Dell’s R730.
